Kissed by the Baddest Bidder - Soryu Sequel Review

Do people still read this blog? I seem to be getting views, but they could just be bots.

Last night, I was bored. I decided to boot up Love 365 for the first time in months so that they wouldn't delete my account. Before I knew it, I was playing Kissed by the Baddest Bidder again. It's one of those titles that feels a lot better when read in the dark. I decided to play Soryu's sequel this time. I read his epilogue last year and his route the year before that, so my memory of his relationship with the MC wasn't exactly the best, but I got through it fine. I actually powered through it in about an hour. I'm glad I managed to get the Happy Ending on the first try this time. Usually I'm terrible at picking the right choices in this game.

(One of the reasons why I played it was to have something to write about again. I miss writing about otoge.)

So here are my thoughts on the route, given to you in a very random order. The post's probably going to be a lot more brief than usual, cause there's not as much to talk about.

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder - Mad Hatter Route Review

I honestly adore Kissed by the Baddest Bidder. Even though I've played loads of expensive, fully voiced, plot heavy otoge, I keep coming back to this series. Before yesterday, I had played Baba, Eisuke and Soryu's routes, as well as Soryu's epilogue. Each one was great in my opinion, although it's been a while so I can't remember the plots all too well.

So last night, I was replaying old games. Then I began to really want to replay Soryu's route. So I opened Love365, like you do, and I found out that one of the routes was currently available for free. It was a route I wanted to play for a while, so I was like why not? And that's how Soryu got pushed aside for the Mad Hatter.

The Mad Hatter is the bloke who holds the auction that the MC gets sold at. I believe he was originally nothing more than a side character, until the Voltage people were like "get this man a route!" So he became a love interest, but only in the Party version of the app. I think that was a version of the game with chapter tickets and avatar dressing up. But when Love 365 rolled around, you were able to purchase the whole thing. But you can't get this route on the Nintendo Switch port of the game.

When I found out the Mad Hatter had a route, I was a bit surprised. But then after reading the synopsis, it looked quite interesting. So when it was out for free, I seized my chance like the freeloader I am, and read through it all. The adverts weren't even that annoying, it was just like when you watch TV and a break comes on.

And this is my review of the route. Of course, there are going to be spoilers, so brace yourself if you haven't played it yet. I'm going to do a basic summary of the plot, but I'll probably miss a lot of details, sorry about that.

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder - Eisuke's Route Review

Voltage recently let us all read Eisuke's route for free, so I took advantage of it like the cheapskate I am and decided to read it in one day. I've been wanting to play this one for almost four years now, even though there are probably much better games I could spend my time with. Kissed by the Baddest Bidder has always had a special place in my heart, since it was one of the first otome games I ever discovered. Even though it all reminds me of some trashy romance novel, I still manage to have a lot of fun playing it.

So, was Eisuke's route worth years of waiting? Read on to find out!

Another Switch Otome Announced!

I don't usually blog about otome news, but this one was so exciting that I just had to talk about it. Plus, it's about a game I reviewed recently, so it makes sense to post about it, right?

Anyways, Voltage have announced that they're bringing Kissed by the Baddest Bidder to the Switch! Why did they have to say this days after I used my free coins to buy Soryu's route? I was planning to get more stories too, once I'd gotten enough coins....

I'm quite happy that Voltage are making some of their titles available on a console. It's just giving me another reason to want a Switch... I'm 99% sure that these ports won't have physical copies, but that's alright. I don't know exactly what stories are going to be included in this Switch KBTBB, but judging by Voltage's other releases, it'll probably be more than just the original main routes, giving us some of the extra stories too. These ports might actually be cheaper than paying for them in Love 365, too.

That's really all I had to say. I always have the urge to blog about new developments in the world of otome, like I did yesterday. But I'm happy that this port's going to happen. I might actually postpone getting anymore KBTBB routes in Love 365 just in case I get a Switch... (I feel like I might buy one for my birthday next year) This news probably means that none of the routes in the mobile version will be free for a short time again, but oh well. Maybe I'll check out some of the other Voltage otome instead...

This concludes my post for today. I know it's a very short post, especially for me, but there's not really much more to report on. Goodbye.

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder - Soryu's Route Review

I finally managed to save up enough Love 365 coins to buy a whole route, and instead of purchasing something different, I did what I always do: stick to what's familiar. And what story did I buy? Read the title, it says there.

Yes, I decided to read another Kissed by the Baddest Bidder route. This time, I decided to go for Soryu, only because he's my usual type, and I thought he looked hot. Actually, I think I wrote in my review of the last KBTBB review that I wanted to unlock his route eventually.

So, let's begin another review, shall we? It's been a while since I've reviewed a full route like this.

Spoiler alert: I really loved Soryu, and did not regret spending my coins on him whatsoever.

Kissed by the Baddest Bidder - Baba's Route Review

Hello, everybody, and welcome to my second post today! I feel like I've been turning into a blogging machine lately, churning out loads of content. That's not a bad thing though, because I absolutely love writing these reviews. I've been playing so many mobile games this summer too! Maybe I should remove the bit on the sidebar that says I "occasionally" play mobage, because I seem to be playing them a lot now.

This review is going to be on a Voltage route that's currently out for free right now. I've never actually played one of theirs all the way through before, so this was quite a new experience for me. The game is Kissed by the Baddest Bidder, one that I actually have a bit of history with.
