I just have to mention something sort of important first. My laptop is now on its last legs, after almost five years of service. The screen is literally hanging by two wires, since the hinges are both broken. This affects the Wi-Fi antenna, because for some reason the manufacturers decided to place it in the most vulnerable part of the whole computer! So now my computer can barely get any Internet signal, and when it does, it loads like Dial-Up. This of course affects how I can edit my blog and website. The only other computery things I have are my Windows tablet and an old Netbook that doesn’t have any drivers installed since I re-installed Windows on it. I used to manage my old blog on my tablet, but I’d rather not do that again since I hate touch-screen keyboards. I could actually write a post on my Xbox One, but I can’t find my USB keyboard anywhere.
Just because my computer’s about to bite the dust, it doesn’t mean that this blog will! Bubbles (yes, I gave my PC a name) actually still works fine apart from those two major issues. So I’m writing this post on Microsoft Word right now, and then I’m gonna wait for it to get a connection and then paste it onto my blog. I’m either going to get this thing fixed, or buy a new computer. I won’t let this kill my blogging speed though, don’t worry! Just expect a few less posts than usual. If you notice any formatting errors of any kind, blame the transition from Word to Blogger for that.
OK, now that we’ve gotten the serious stuff out of the way, let’s get to the discussion!
Napoleon’s route has been a distant memory inside my head these past few days. It’s been taking me so long to raise the funds to complete the silly avatar challenge. Most people would’ve cleared it in less time, but I only do the love battles once a day because I have a life. I had almost gotten enough gold yesterday, but I was a mere thirty coins away from reading the story again!
Today I only managed to read Chapter Twenty, so there’s not gonna be as much discussion as usual here. This chapter is almost entirely devoted to sexy times between MC and Napoleon. I thought these were only going to be in the Premium story, but nope, us poor people get them too.
It all starts up in the attic. MC and Napoleon chat about something that I absolutely cannot remember even though I literally just read this twenty minutes ago. It mustn’t have been that important then! Oh wait, I remember it now!
Napoleon is like “I swear to protect you not as a man, but as a soldier!” and MC then just gives him a kiss. But then she’s not satisfied with just one, so she kisses him multiple times. Then Napoleon gets a hold of her and unbuttons her nightgown and they do it right there, in that dark, dingy attic. Nice. At least it’s better than doing it in a public toilet or behind some bins.
Cybird are always nice enough to give you shirtless sprites of their characters, and IkeVamp is no exception. Yep, we see Napoleon’s abs. The artist was even brave enough to draw nipples. I always find these sprites to look odd, like they just pasted the head on top of some other man. It’s because the lines around Napoleon’s head are way thicker than they are on the rest of the body. I think they actually do paste them on top though. The facial features are also a separate PNG to the rest of the body too. I noticed that by looking at Mystic Messenger sprites, and when I played Ikemen Sengoku and the laggy Wi-Fi connection made it so that only part of the face had loaded.
Mobile games like these are allowed to be more adult than console games, so these sexy scenes don’t just fade to black like most of the other games I’ve played. This scene wasn’t really graphic, but it did leave me saying “Too much information!” I think that if I’d liked the love interest more I would be slightly more into it, but this just felt a bit… I had the same feelings with Kenshin’s route in IkeSen too. Even though I try to 100% self-insert in these games, my brain has been subconsciously almost treating this MC as a separate character using my name, so it made me feel a bit more awkward.
Let’s just get back to the plot, shall we?
During the sex scene, MC notices that Napoleon seems a bit thirsty for blood. She offers to let him drink from her, but he denies until he eventually gives in five seconds later. Finally, we’re actually getting some vampire stuff here! So Napoleon sucks MC’s blood, but then she either falls asleep or passes out.
When MC wakes up, she finds Napoleon sitting there, drawing her whilst she sleeps. OK… Why do I find this weird, but not any of the other billions of much worse things I’ve seen otome boys do in the past? She tries to see what he’s drawn, but he won’t let her. So they just sit there by the window, and chat about the future. MC tells Napoleon about how he’ll be able to look forwards to proper electricity in a few decades.
That reminds me of something, what’s MC gonna do about Napoleon being immortal while she’s just gonna grow old and die? She should just do what Bella does in Twilight and just become a vampire.
That’s where the chapter ends. I’m getting very close to the end now. Soon it’ll be time to see where I end up with the Romantic or Dramatic ending. I remember that in IkeSen I went for the Dramatic end, because while I do like fluff, I enjoy a bit of tragedy because that makes the romance more interesting. I’m probably gonna go with that one here, if I have enough points. I remember before that IkeSen let me pick between the two because I had sufficient points to get both.
Oh dear. This post is quite short, isn’t it? I suppose there’s not really much one can say about a sex scene. I’m going to try and make my reviews more detailed now, instead of just “I liked this route, it was cool!” I will try and give out more constructive criticism and stuff. I was quite proud of my last post, but I felt like I focused more on the negative instead of the positive.
Hopefully I’ll manage to get this post up on the Web. If not, I’ll stash it for later and post it when I get my computer problem sorted out. At least I’ve now learnt not to leave my laptop on the side of a coffee table! That’s what partly killed the hinges, but the final blow was when my cat pushed it off the sofa because he wanted to lie down. That’s why I would rather get a desktop computer next, because they don’t move around so they’re less likely to break. I don’t know if I’ll get a new one though, I’d rather just get my Bubbles fixed and run her to the ground. She’s still really powerful, with an i5 processor and eight gigabytes of RAM. OK, I know there are a lot of computers that are better than that, but she’s still super-fast!
Maybe I should stop bragging about my computer and work on getting this post up instead. See you all later!
... In the end, I had to turn my phone into a wireless hotspot and use some of my precious 500MB of mobile data to post this, because my laptop didn't want to connect to my router. Oh well, it's not like it uses up that much data...
