My Child is Online!

I didn't really have a child, don't worry, but this project I've been working on is basically like a child to me. If you've been reading my previous posts, you may have heard about this Period Cube fansite I've been working on recently. After spending many, many hours on it, it's finally online.

I had been planning to upload it to Neocities from the start, but then when I went to put everything on there, it told me I couldn't upload my custom font unless I paid, which I completely understand. It was hard breaking up with the font, but in the end, it doesn't really matter. It was only used on the navigation bar and the title. Plus, I can't really complain because Neocities is such a great service.

The site doesn't really have too much on it to be honest, but I just wanted to be the one to make a fansite for an otome that isn't really too popular in the West. It was never my favourite game, but I had so much fun reviewing it that I wanted to make something for it. Also, I just needed an excuse to make another website. It's fun making something for a franchise so niche and unknown!

I'm typing this so fast, there's going to be loads of errors. Oh well.

OK, so I was browsing for tile backgrounds I could use on this blog, and I came across this.

I don't know if regular people would get offended at this, but I'd really like to tell these people to kindly fuck off. Have they even seen any of the pages on Neocities? I don't think any of the creators there are professionals, and they've made perfectly fine webpages. This webpage looks like shit anyway, it looks like one of those scam sites for those "PC Optimiser" virus programs.

I only clicked on this because I was looking at this page full of backgrounds and it said "ARE YOU USING THIS ON A WEBPAGE? CLICK HERE FIRST!!" and I thought it was gonna be something about copyright but it was just clickbait where they're trying to lecture me on making a website. I suppose this is aimed towards businesses and not personal webpages, but this page kind of angered me slightly. Sorry about this mini-rant. Maybe there is nothing to be offended about from this. Oh well, people get offended about stupid things everyday, so it doesn't really matter.

I shouldn't be mad, they are giving me free background images after all...
