:3

Hello, everybody! I've been super busy this week so I had forgotten about this blog until now! Again, it is time for my regular update on whatever otome game I'm playing!!

Yes, I'm still playing Diabolik Lovers. But I'm almost done. I'm enjoying this game but I really want to play my next because it's on my Vita and I miss it. The screen and buttons feel so much nicer than the PSP's. Not that I dislike the PSP, it just feels old now that I have something better to compare it with.

Anyways, I finished Reiji's route today, meaning that I have two more routes to go. I suppose I'll just write some of my thoughts on it down below!

(Beware of spoilers!)

Reiji's route actually had a bit more of a plot than the others. It actually tells you a bit more about why Yui was sent to live with the Sakamakis, and there's a lot about Cordelia in there. Other than that it's almost the same as the other routes, basically Reiji just treats Yui like dirt, then acts a bit nicer towards her and eventually falls in love with her. There aren't many flashbacks to his past in between though, it's mainly about Cordelia instead.

So what happened was, one day Yui's just lying in bed and Richter just comes up and starts calling her Cordelia, like he did in Ayato's route. This happens twice, in the second time Cordelia actually comes out and starts controlling Yui's body, so much that our heroine is eventually unable to do anything except just watch.

Cordelia is such an old slag though. I absolutely hate her. She constantly just acts like a cow towards everybody, and starts to claim Yui's body as hers, calling the original owner a "freeloader". Reiji is super annoyed with Cordelia, because he considers Yui to be his and doesn't want anybody else messing around with her body. I had to deal with this bitch in every single Ecstasy chapter, but I suppose it made things more interesting.

The whole reason Yui's even caught in this mess is because Cordelia got someone to put her name on a list of potential brides so that she got sent to the Sakamakis so Cordelia could go over to her ex-lover Karlheinz and kill him to prove her love. (⊙_⊙) I don't really think her love is that sincere anyways, because she seems interested in Richter, and she kept flirting with Reiji, wanting to be his bride at the end. Also, she does the same sadistic things to Reiji that the other vampires do to Yui in their routes. She actually whips him, except I didn't understand that bit at first and I just thought that Yui was slapping herself to get Cordelia out. It shows how bad my Japanese is, doesn't it?

She's just really messed up, and I can completely understand why nobody likes her. I feel really sorry for the triplets because they have that as a mother. I hardly ever really hate fictional characters that much, but Cordelia is just horrid. I'm glad that Reiji managed to make a drug to get her out for good.

I suppose I'll talk about the romance now. Reiji was super mean to Yui a lot of the time, but he also had a kind side to him that came out occasionally. I do like him, though. He looked really hot in some of the CGs. Also, his favourite food is Spaghetti Carbonara which just happens to have been one of mine too since childhood. He seems to be quite intelligent and organised, so that's good. I think I would actually get along with him if he wasn't a sadistic vampire, and not fictional. I would probably rank him as my third favourite out of all the Sakamaki brothers.

The first ending of his route was alright, but since Cordelia had already pretty much been vanquished in the Ecstacy Epilogue, the plot was pretty much over so it just opened in the near future where Yui and Reiji are actually in a relationship. Yui seems super devoted to trying to impress him, which I suppose makes sense because he's really into making everything perfect and all that. I did read the first Heaven scenario and it's where Yui tries to make Carbonara for Reiji. I thought that he might've liked it, but I expected too much.

I could go back and unlock his other Heaven scenarios but I think you have to unlock the other endings for that. I'm on my next route anyway so I don't want to stop playing that. I used a random name picker again, and it means that I have to do Kanato next. I've started a bit of it already.

When first getting into Diabolik Lovers, I didn't really like Kanato. I thought he felt really creepy, and the only redeeming quality he had was that I liked his voice actor. But slowly, I've been warming up to him. Now I actually find him kind of cute (except for the bags under his eyes) and I want to give him a hug for some reason. But when I self-insert into the game it feels like I'm talking to a little brother, not someone I'm supposed to date. Hopefully my opinion of him will change over time. At least I have something in common with him, we both like dolls. I heard that he's a bit of a yandere, so that should be interesting. If you've read some of my other post, you'll know that I like a lot of yandere boys. Anyways, I'm only on the first chapter, so I can't really tell how good it's going to be yet.

But that's all I have to say for today. I actually ended up writing a lot more than I expected, so that's good! Blogger keeps coming up with errors every time I try to save this post, so I hope it won't crash and make me lose everything.

Thank you for reading, and goodbye!
