I Can't Think of A Title For This

Hello, and welcome to another post about Diabolik Lovers! I'm super happy because my PSP didn't die on me today, but that's probably because I played it less. But I started a new route today, so that's also good!

I did start playing Ayato's Heaven scenario but it wouldn't let me get past the first episode, I think that maybe it's because I didn't get enough affection points, because at the beginning of the game I didn't use a walkthrough and I think I got two choices wrong... :( But then I also think that the other two chapters are probably only unlocked if you get the other two endings. I don't know and I haven't find anything in English yet that explains it.

Like I said I was going to do in the last post, I chose my next route by random. I didn't do the common prologue at all, I just opened my previous save file and started my next route from the chapter selection menu. It said online that each prologue is really the same except for slightly different text depending on what character you picked, so I didn't miss out on much. I picked the route by closing my eyes and clicking the D-pad multiple times until I stopped and looked to see who I got. And who did I get, you ask? I landed on Shu's route, which is great because I actually wanted to get his anyway.

I've probably played like four chapters so far, and I'm enjoying it, like I knew I would. It's actually slightly easier to understand than Ayato's, but I still have to use an English fan-made summary. I haven't actually read all of the summary up to where I got to in the game yet, so I don't understand some of what I read yet.

Shu is so much nicer to Yui than Ayato was. He's just not really interested in anything, so he just lies there and sleeps with his headphones in most of the time. I haven't even got any blood sucking scenes yet, in contrast to Ayato's route where every single chapter has him sucking Yui dry. Shu doesn't really care for Yui that much yet though. She did kiss him though, because he said that he'd stop being lazy and go to class if she did so. You see a lot more of the other characters here too, compared to the last route I did. I haven't actually seen Subaru since the common prologue, but all the others have appeared at least once.

There was a scene that actually made me laugh out loud, I haven't read the English translation for it but I could understand the Japanese well enough. But I dunno if I misinterpreted it or not, so what I'm about to say may or may not have happened like this in reality. So Yui's sitting there with Shu and he's got his headphones on, Yui wonders about his music or something, then asks him if she can hear what he's listening to. So he puts his headphones in her ears, and instead of music you just hear this woman making weird sexual noises. I dunno why I laughed out loud here, I just thought it was funny, I didn't expect it at all from him. Shu is a bit of a pervert, I heard, there's even one bit I read (I only read it in Japanese so this also may be an incorrect idea of what happened!) where he's asleep on the ground and he looks up Yui's skirt and I think he just points out what colour her pants are.

There's more of a plot to this route, I suppose, because stuff happens like Yui finding out that her new school starts at night and things like that, but it's still mostly her hanging out with Shu. But he hasn't really done anything really mean to her so far because he's not really interested yet. Although for some reason he was in Yui's bath once, even though he has his own. He must've given a reason for it but I probably didn't understand that bit.

Oh, and also apparently the Sakamaki brothers are popular with the ladies at school, according to one girl who goes up to Yui in the hallways. I dunno if they actually talk to the other students because I haven't seen none of that yet, but I didn't expect them to be well liked. I know they're hot, but I thought it was gonna be like Twilight where there's just this creepy vampire family who everyone thinks is a bit weird.

Aren't the Sakamakis meant to actually be like hundreds of years old? If so, why keep going to school. They've probably already gone through it many times. Shu just looks so uninterested in it, so why doesn't he just leave? He's the oldest so he can do what he wants. Maybe I'm digging into things a bit to deeply when it's just supposed to be a simple series about sadistic vampires sucking your blood.

I do hope I get at least one scene with Shu sucking Yui's blood soon though. But at least Shu's not as mean as Ayato. I mean, I like Ayato a lot, but he really didn't care that much for Yui at all. It was all about him, like he just kept sucking her blood even though she was really anemic and could take much more.

The blood sucking sounds were a bit strange when I first heard them in the drama CDs, but now that I'm used to them, I actually kind of like them... Except whenever this happens in the game, this really jazzy music comes on that makes it a bit less romantic and more comical. Oh dear, now I have the song stuck in my head.... Other than that though, the soundtrack's really good. Especially the opening and ending themes, like I mentioned. Diabolik Lovers songs are just really good in general though because the voice actors can sing like angels.

I'm just so glad that the dummy head mic exists though. It would be cool if more games used it. I dunno if any Western media uses it other than those ASMR videos, because drama CDs aren't really popular over here. After completing this game, I'm definitely going to buy some more Diabolik Lovers drama CDs if I'm not feeling cheap. There's other series that look interesting too, so I might try something new out. I think there's some yandere CDs out there just waiting for me to pick them up...

Well, that concludes my post for today I suppose. My keyboard's covered in fur now because my cat keeps walking on it.... He sat on me as I typed this and kept fidgeting. At least he's really warm and fluffy. I could cuddle him all day but then he'd make me sneeze a lot...

Before I start going off topic, I should end this post. Goodbye.

(Also, if you're reading this, thanks because I don't think many people actually visit this blog except me.)
