Misty's Blog: The Epic Return - Coming Soon to Your Computer Screen! (I also became an otome news reporter halfway through the post)

Hello everybody! Did you miss me? I wasn't really gone for that long, was I?

I'm going to make a very important announcement, Misty's Blog will soon be back in business! But there will be a few changes!

This time, I will not force myself to post, like I did before. Also, those mobage review posts (the ones where it takes me ten posts to actually finish the route) will be gone. If I want to review a mobile game, I will be following a strict rule of making one post, and one post only. I'm also only going to post if I actually feel passionate about writing it. I'm not going to be like I was before, saying "I have to make this review today, or else!".

I don't know what I'm going to write about next. I was thinking of doing something on the many Diabolik Lovers character songs that exist. Currently, I'm working on three games. Ikemen Vampire (Arthur's route), Ikemen Revolution (I'm still on Jonah's route, but I don't plan on finishing my review series on it) and Ikemen Sengoku (Sasuke's route).

That new KFC dating sim game came out. I'm a bit curious of it, but I don't want to review it, because it's just going to give them more advertising exposure. (Really, I'm promoting it by just mentioning it!) Maybe I'll play Cinderella Phenomenon instead, because that sounds like a really good game.

You may be wondering how my life has been going since I've been gone. I don't really mention my life online, but I am doing fine, that's all that matters. Today I managed to claim an Amazon voucher with my Swagbucks, so I'm quite chuffed about that. It's not that much money, but I think I can buy a Diabolik Lovers CD with it. I'm tired of listening to the songs through YouTube.

I also just feel like talking about otome news right now, too. I'll be a news reporter for the remainder of this post.

Cybird have recently announced some great new things that are coming to their Ikemen games!

Ikemen Revolution (the Japanese version) is getting a new route. The character who's getting the route is Harr. I'm not really excited because I don't really know anything about him. I expect it'll be on the English app in a few years.

But the real stuff that I want to talk about is what Ikemen Sengoku's getting! There's a new character coming, and he looks rather interesting!

Isn't he beautifiul? I believe his name is Kichou, and apparently he's a gender-swapped version of Nobunaga's real life wife. I suppose they couldn't give the MC any love rivals, but they were running out of historical figures so they just used her. His voice actor hasn't been revealed yet, but it's probably going to be somebody big. Cybird manage to get a lot of good people in their games. I don't know too much about Japanese voice actors, so I can't really predict who it's going to be.

They're also putting some of the endings from the Vita version of the game in the Japanese mobile app. Does that mean they might eventually add some of the exclusive routes in? I just want to date Ranmaru so badly. Maybe I'll just buy the Vita game and struggle through it with awful Japanese.

(Oh dear, my cat just hit the keyboard and deleted part of my post. I'm so glad the undo button exists!)

Oh yeah, Kennyo's also getting a route. I didn't realise that he actually had fans. It'll probably come to the English app after Mitsuhide's does, so probably in more than a year.

In other news, there's a Code Realize limited edition coming out for the Switch, and they seemed to have put a bit more stuff in it than the Vita versions had. There's a soundtrack CD, and artbook and this really nice keychain! Maybe they're putting better gifts in because the Switch is more popular. I believe that the game is coming out in December, just in time for Christmas. The free gifts and the cover all look really pretty, but even if I did have the right console for it, I probably wouldn't buy it because I already have the game. I hope that the other otome titles get limited editions in English, especially Collar X Malice Unlimited.

In terms of other new releases, Jello Apocalypse's Pizza Game has or will be coming out soon. It's a bit like the KFC game, because everything in it's supposed to be funny. It's just one of those joke visual novels that likes to make fun of things. A lot of people dislike these because they mock dating sims and don't really seem to have anything to them other than "HAHA FUNNY XD". I personally don't like these types of joke games that much, because they do make people think that all VNs and dating games are just rubbish and full of tropes, but there's not really much I can do about that. These ironic visual novels exist, and if people have fun with them, I suppose that's alright. The KFC game does annoy me a bit because it is one big advertisement, but I do have to admire it, because it is one genius marketing trick!

I just complained about KFC's game because it was an advertisement, but really, most of my blog posts are really free marketing for everything I play. No, I'm not sponsored by anyone, but praising an otome means that the readers are more likely to purchase it, so it really is just advertising.

The last thing I want to talk about is some new Diabolik Lovers merchandise collection. I can't remember where I saw it, or what it's called, and I don't really care about the merch because I'll never be able to import it, but the promotional art for it is simply beautiful!

Wait a minute, let me just Google it...

Ah yes, it's called Diabolik Lovers: Blood Affair. You can find it here.  Even if you don't understand the text, just scroll down and take in that lovely artwork. I don't think they have Satoi doing it anymore, but it still looks really good. Actually, it's probably better than the art for Death Parade, their last merch line or whatever it was.

Why does this whole post just feel like one big advertisement?

Anyways, that's all I have to write about for today. I just felt like talking about some recent updates in the wonderful world of otome, as well as announcing my return. You couldn't get rid of me for that long! I do love blogging, but sometimes I just force myself to write posts, and that's just not fun. It was like that during my year-long period of being a bookworm. I would make myself read books by a certain time period, and in the end I wasn't just reading for fun, but to feel accomplished because I finished something in two days. It absolutely sucks when my hobbies get like that.

Anyway, I should be back in a few days or so. Have a very nice evening/night/morning/lunchtime. Goodbye!
