Diabolik Lovers is Nine Years Old, Apparently.

I would like to bring your attention towards the video below:

It came out two months ago, and I somehow missed it!

Apparently Diabolik Lovers is nine years old now. Well, technically it is almost ten, since it came out in 2011 and now we're in 2021. I literally just watched this video five minutes ago, and immediately ran to make a blog post out of it. There's not really much to say, but I just wanted to share my thoughts on it.

The Sims

I recently started playing the first Sims game from 2000. The only other game in the series that I had played was the Sims Freeplay which would've been an excellent game if it wasn't a big cashgrab.

The Sims may not be very advanced for 2018, but it is still incredibly entertaining. I thought I would get bored with it very quickly, but I can play it nonstop for hours!!

This is just a quick little update. I am going to use this space to advertise my Twitter account, @strangepigeon6.

Goodbye!

Virtual Reality

Today I purchased a cheap virtual reality headset (without a Bluetooth remote) because I had never experienced it before. The closest thing to VR I have done is trying out the Microsoft HoloLens.

VR was alright, but my iPhone SE's screen is too small, so I see black borders around everything, which really breaks the immersion. Also, I wish I had spent a bit more money to get the headset with the Bluetooth remote, because for some reason my headset is missing an "action button".

My eyes feel all funny now. Tomorrow I will try VR with a much bigger Galaxy S6 phone.

Hello.

I was surfing the web today and I found this weird Gorillaz self-insert fan fiction that was kinda bad, but it was really addicting. It was written years ago, so the person who wrote it must be quite a bit older now. Then I found more outdated social media accounts for this person, and I spent a long time reading them.

Somebody in the future is probably going to discover all of my awful online content and cringe at it in the same way I cringed at this person I found today. I would link to the website where I found this person's work, but I don't really want anybody to tell me off for criticising the work of an innocent teenager.

Some of the stuff that I found was awful. The self insert character has literally all of the edgy tropes that OCs do, and even though she was fifteen, she still gets to date a guy in the story who's in his twenties. Then she gets pregnant from him. She's also a vampire who ran away from her parents who she thinks to have died in 9/11. There was also art work she made to go along with her stories.

Well, I guess everybody makes some cringeworthy stuff when they are a teenager. This blog is an example of that. I also wrote some pretty edgy shit on Wattpad that I immediately regretted once. Luckily it's all gone now. Another example of something cringe-inducing I wrote is probably that Mystic Messenger post I wrote on this blog a while ago. Scroll down further to read it.

I like to preserve things that I've made, but I'm sure I will be too embarrassed to look at most of my content in the future.

Anyway, that's all I have to write for now. Goodbye.

Hi.

I haven't written on here in a long time, have I?

My old Windows XP netbook from 2010 is running at a snail's pace, so I think I'm going to install Windows 7 on it to see how well it does. Hopefully 1GB of RAM is enough. I was just doing operating system research when I decided to come onto Blogger to see how things are doing.

See you later.

The One Year Anniversary of Misty's World

On June 9th, 2018, it will have been a year since I moved Misty's World to Neocities. The original site was created in January 2017, but it was radically different to what it is today. It wasn't until the Neocities era that my site actually became something special.

I'm just going to treat the Neocities migration date as the official anniversary. When the day actually comes, I'll be on holiday, so I'll probably forget about it. Oh well. I'm just glad I didn't give up on the site a month in.

I wanted to practice my HTML skills and make some cool website, but I can't think of anything to make.

Do you think auto-correct messes up people's spelling? I do. That's why I turn it off.

Oops...

Today I was playing Lego Marvel Superheroes on my Xbox. I was on the second last level, about to defeat the boss. I walked over to a checkpoint and saved, accidentally clicking on "Save and Exit". I went back to the main menu and tried to open up my save file again. It wasn't there.

After restarting the game, I went back to play it again and my save was there. It said that I was 7.5% into the game, which was weird, I thought, opening it anyway. When I went onto the game it started me off at a different spot than where I was. At first I thought it reminded me of some previous level, but then I thought that after the point I was at it might just take the player to this part, and that this was all normal.

Two minutes later I realised that I was far back into the game. Resetting the game many times didn't get my progress back. I think that's because when you open the save file, it auto-saves, overwriting everything and making it unable to get my proper save back.

Now I have to replay everything again. It put me back really far. It's weird because the date on the file was today's date, but the time was listed as 21:00, when the time at that moment was 17:00. I think that was the time when I saved it at that point ages ago.

It's such a shame I spent so much time on it, only to get my progress partly wiped. At least I get to keep the Xbox Live achievements. Oh well. At least I get to watch Infinity War on Thursday...

:)

Site updates have been slow lately. Sometimes I want to do other things than HTML coding. I'm also just too lazy to come up with new page ideas. These are very lame excuses, I know.

There's only a bit more than a week left until I see Infinity War in my local cinema on April 26th. The film does come out on April 27th, but I'm seeing a special pre-showing where you get popcorn discounts and some free collectible coin. It's in 3D, so hopefully they'll actually add some crazy effects, but they probably won't. I would see it in IMAX if I could see it again, because it is the first Hollywood film to be shot entirely in IMAX cameras.

That's all I have to say for now. I know this is an abrupt conclusion, but I have to go and do something. Bye.

Hello!

I feel good today.

I made some chocolate Shredded Wheat Mini Egg nests, they turned out pretty good. The chocolate went all lumpy when I melted it, I fixed it with some hot water and a bit of Bournville cocoa. Also, I made biscuits. They were plain flavoured, and they went all crumbly. You can't even dip them in your tea without them breaking. It doesn't matter though, because they taste good. They melt in your mouth, like almond cookies.

Where I live, it's snowing again. Snow used to be a novelty for me, until I moved to a new country where they get loads of snow. I quickly got tired of it. It's supposed to be spring, and Easter's coming up soon. Why can't it be nice and warm. Even rain would be better than this.

Well, this is probably the first post I have ever made about real life. That's cool. Maybe I should change the colours of this blog. I'm a bit bored of green.

Anyway, that's all from me for now. I hope everyone of you reading this had a nice day, where ever you are on this planet.

Goodbye! :)

EDIT: I did change the theme of this blog. Hopefully you like it. I have one of those rain simulators on in the background, it inspired me to change it. I'm not depressed or anything, I just think rain is cool. If you are new and you want to see the old theme, go onto the Wayback Machine and type into the big white bar "mistchasersblog.blogspot.com". I may even change the music from DARE to something else, too. How about On Melancholy Hill?

I Wrote A Wikipedia Article

There was this online game I used to play that shut down back in 2011. It did have a Wikipedia page, but there was no info on it. Today I changed that.

CLICK HERE TO VIEW WHAT I WROTE. The writing probably sucks and has loads of mistakes, but who cares. I contributed to an Encyclopedia!

One Vote

You know that little poll thing I put on the sidebar of this blog? It has a whopping one vote on it! WOOHOO!

In other news, I put this fancy little Google Search bar at the bottom of the homepage of Misty's World, which allows you to search all of my main sites, including this blog! Cool, right?

I hooked my laptop up to this mini television that I usually use for my Raspberry Pi. I feel so cool using two monitors!

Another Useless Post

I'm super happy because yesterday when I went shopping I found a CD of Demon Days, an album I had been wanting for ages, for $8! I didn't notice it at first, because it wasn't in the area of the shop where the Gorillaz albums usually were. Normally that shop just has Humanz and I'm really disappointed whenever I go there because I already have that album. When I passed a stand full of more CDs, I immediately saw Demon Days and picked it up, not caring about the price.

Normally I am quite cheap and don't like spending money, but I really wanted this and it wasn't that expensive. I think it might actually be cheaper on iTunes, but I prefer physical CDs, because they have nice art books inside. I don't actually have a CD player anymore, so the CD is just going on to my computer and then onto my iPod. I'll probably end up listening to this album so much that it gets old for me, but I've already listened to this album many times on Spotify and Groove Music, so I don't think it'll get old.

The art book in this album is wonderful. It includes covers for all of the songs on the album. Every single song on Demon Days is amazing,  but I would have to say that my favourites are Kids With Guns, Dirty Harry, November Has Come, Feel Good Inc, DARE and Fire Coming out of the Monkey's Head. According to Spotify, Dirty Harry is my most listened to song, but that's probably because it used to come up on shuffle often.

I just wanted to write about this because I can and because there is nothing else to write about. I guess I'll see you all in the next post. Goodbye!

My Opinion on Mystic Messenger so far

Warning: there may be spoilers for Mystic Messenger down here!

So far I have completed four Mystic Messenger routes. I just completed 707's route and it was by far the best route ever. Apparently I even unlocked the first secret ending! The secret ending adds another story to the game, it's really worth spending hourglasses on.

I didn't realise that each party guest you successfully invite gives you one hourglass! Yesterday I managed to claim about thirty of them! The part of the game where you have to invite party guests was the most difficult part for me. I could've just looked up walkthroughs online, but I was too lazy to do that.

Even though I didn't wake up at one o' clock in the morning for this game, it has taken up a lot of my life. That is why I am taking a short break. Maybe next week I might try Zen's route? I had tried to get his route before, but every time I tried to get hearts for him, I got hearts for Jaehee instead. I may have to play Yoosung's route again, even though he's my least favourite, because I only got the normal ending. That was because I was new to the game so I wasn't as good as convincing the party guests to attend. I'm not going to try and get all of the bad endings, because some of those require me to be a douchebag to the other characters.

During Jumin's ending and after ending, I kind of cringed a bit. If any of that had happened to me in real life, I probably would die of embarrassment. Not because I don't want someone proposing to me, it's just that for some reason I am a really shy person and that would just scare me if everybody was watching some man propose to me.

I don't know if I'll be able to play the DLC or V's route, since they cost a lot of hour glasses. I'm trying to play the game without spending money, so hourglasses are pretty hard to save up for. The things I want to spend hour glasses on are the after endings and the "Valentines Day specials". The after endings are really short to me, but that's because I normally speed through them because I am a fast reader.

When I got to the parts of the game where it shows an image of the player as a faceless girl with brown hair, it was really hard to imagine that girl as myself. It just felt like some random girl was stealing my love interest!  That was probably because the girl looked nothing like me and because she was drawn wearing girly outfits I would never wear.

I think the character I would get along with most in real life would be 707. We mainly have the same interests, so we would probably have some interesting conversations. I'd probably get along with Yoosung, too. All of the other characters probably wouldn't find me interesting.

Most of the time I was playing the game without the sound on, so I missed out on a lot of the voice acting. I'm going to have to go through the history and listen to all of the calls properly.

I had a lot of fun with this game. I think I would rate it about eight or nine out of ten. Sometimes it's a bit cheesy, but it's still a great game. If you haven't played it yet, I would really recommend it!

Just a quick note before I leave: None of my blog posts are edited. On my old blogs I used to edit stuff, but the purpose of this site is just to provide a place where I can quickly spill my thoughts. I didn't really intend this post to turn into what it is now. I was just going to say that I was taking a break from the game!

Archiving This Blog

I like to archive this blog and all of my other sites on the Wayback Machine so I can view them in the future. My old blogs got archived, but only the homepages, so you couldn't read entire posts.

If you want to view what this site or what Misty's World looked like in the past, just paste the URL into the Wayback Machine. So far I have only archived this site once.

I just wanted to write this quickly! Have a nice day!

I Can't Think of a Title for This...

Hello!

I know this is all everybody can talk about online right now, but net neutrality is a very important thing right now. People say that it is only affecting people in the U.S, but I'm sure ISPs in other nations will see what they are doing and try to do the same things.

If these evil companies try to slow down the Web for their customers and only give them access to specific sites based on their package, small sites like mine will be affected! That'll encourage everyone to just join a boring old social network. You wouldn't be able to read this blog, either.

All of your favourite sites will be blocked by what is essentially a pay wall. I saw someone on Reddit yesterday say that it was like adding micro transactions to the Internet. If we can protest as much as everybody did when EA decided to add stupid micro transactions to Star Wars Battlefront 2, then we can maybe put a stop to the evil plans of these companies, or at least push them back by a few years.

Even if you live somewhere else and won't be affected, just help fight for Net Neutrality anyway. It's pretty fun to raise awareness for this issue.

Or maybe you just don't care. It might actually get people off of the Internet for once. But small businesses will lose money because their websites may be blocked. You don't want that to happen, do you?

If you want to help fight, visit http://www.battleforthenet.com .

:) I'm sure we can stop this if we fight together...

Hi.

It's just me, checking in again. Does anybody read this blog? I linked to it on my website, so somebody must know about it.

For the past few weeks, this mobile game has been consuming my life. I don't normally play mobile games, because they mostly suck and because I normally forget that they are actually on my phone.
The game I have been playing is Mystic Messenger. It's this weird dating simulator app where it simulates a chat room and phone calls instead of a regular visual novel. One good thing about it is that you have to actually play it often so you don't get the bad ending, which stops it from being one of those forgotten apps sitting on my home screen.

I got the bad ending first, because I didn't play it enough, then I got one normal ending with the person I really didn't want to date, then I just got a good ending again, and now I'm starting to play it again. I don't know why I like this game so much.

There are micro transactions in this game, but luckily if you play hard enough you can earn enough virtual money to unlock all the good stuff. Some people stay up at 3AM for this game, but I don't really want to sacrifice my precious sleep for a shitty mobile game.

Maybe I just like this game because it feels like I actually have friends texting me. I don't know. If your into these kinds of games, I would really recommend it. The only thing bad about it is that the most attractive character in the entire game isn't available to date. :(

Unfortunately, if you are a Windows Phone user, this game is not available to you. I'm glad I've moved on to another mobile OS now. It was painful watching all of the other people play all the good games on their phones while I had to wait ages for them to be available for me.

Well, that's all I have to say now. Goodbye!

Thursday, 9 November 2017

Hello...

Doesn't the week go by so quickly? One day it's Monday, and then suddenly it's Thursday and almost the end of the working week!

I was just checking in to make sure that this blog isn't dead. Recently I tried to get this blog set up with Windows Live Writer, but the username won't work since I use Blogger with my Google Account and this piece of software was probably created before you had to use a Google Account for everything.

I wish I had a good video editor so I could make good YouTube videos. Windows Movie Maker and this other editor that was included with my PC is all I have. My old videos on my channel make me want to cringe. I'm glad I deleted and made private most of them. My Minecraft videos were the worst. Luckily not many people saw them.

A Barbie video I made got about 2000 views, which I am proud of, so I didn't bother to delete it. It got one dislike though. It was filmed on my old Nokia smartphone which had the worst camera, and it has really bad sound quality, and no background music.

I think I'll have to invest in a better microphone, and use Audacity or something to make my voice sound a bit deeper, because it sounds all high and childish. The only microphones I have are attached to earphones, and this other one that came with a High School Musical karaoke Wii game I used to like as a kid.

That's all I have to write today. I know this conclusion sucks, I'm not very good at them.

Hope you all have a great day!
:)

I'm Stuck for Website Ideas...

I'm trying to make an effort of updating my site regularly so it doesn't die. Everyday I check Neocities in case anybody posted on my profile, and every few days I update something on my site.

Recently I have been having the website creator's version of writers block. I can't think of anything else to put onto my site or update. I want to make another site, but everything I make looks exactly like my existing site.

Maybe one day when I am lying in bed pondering life or when I'm walking home from school, I'll think of something to add to Misty's World. Until then, nothing major is coming to the site.

For some reason I just like making new websites. That was probably why I decided to move from Escargot Spaces and create this lovely blog.

There is nothing else to write, so until then, goodbye.

:)
