(Spoilers down below!)
It just felt like the romance was super quick. I'm not sure if it feels that way because of the length of the route or because Kazuha (I am getting her name correct, right?) and Rei had only known each other for a couple of days before they decided to kiss. If they had made everything last longer, there would've been time for more cute moments and romance development. Oh well, at least they got to go on a cute date in the real world before things got crazy.
After Hiroya went all yandere and locked Kazuha in a room, Poyo-Poyo (who I think is actually Shiki) used his magic to plop her back into the real world so she could talk to Rei a bit more. She wakes up in his apartment and they go on the date I mentioned in the last paragraph. I was scared that she was going to be locked away for ages so there wouldn't be any time for her to hang out with her LI, so I'm glad this was here. Then there was this emotional scene where we find out Rei's typical depressing otome boy backstory where all his party members die and he feels guilty for it. I'm sure that same thing happened to Kirito in SAO. I haven't read the light novels in a while though so I might be wrong.
Then Hazuha gets whisked back to Arcadia and she sees Hiroya, who's super annoyed because she somehow got to escape without his permission. We find out that he's keeping her locked up because it's one of the only places in the game that is safe from the dreaded Jaws of Death. Also he's one of those boys who loves her in every route, no matter who she chooses.
There's also that boy who pops up and tells Kazuha to stop the Period Cube because it'll destroy the world or something, I can't really remember what it does. He's the friend of Shiki but then he somehow got trapped in Arcadia as this weird glitch.
So Kazuha escapes the room and tries to find this cube or something (Sorry, I can't remember all the details!) and then runs into Ira and Libera and those other people in the Forte guild. Oh yeah, Radius is there too. Then they're like "Let's find the thing!" (I can't remember what the thing was) so they go and look for the thing but OH NO! there's a group of angels there. The main angel boy is Astrum, and he's there with this tough guy with a scar and his guild members who don't have sprites. They fight each other but then Kazuha stops the fighting and they all decide to play nice and work together.
But then the cute little NPC Zain (who was helping Hiroya heal from monster damage) turns out to be Shiki in disguise! I'm not sure if Zain was Shiki all along from the beginning, or if he's like this in Zain's route, but I suppose I'll find out later. Shiki rattles on about how he made this world to be free from pain and suffering but everybody's like "That's really evil!" so they try to defeat him. But then Demento comes out of nowhere and stabs Kazuha. I laughed at this part because it was so unexpected.
Then stuff happens and they kill Zain/Shiki and Kazuha's almost dying. Radius is quite sad so he kisses her. Then that boy comes up again and tells Kazuha to press the button (I can't remember exactly what it was) and then the Period Cube will be stopped! So she does that and they go back to the real world and everything's happy! Shiki wakes up in hospital, but he can't remember anything, so nobody bothers to tell anybody what he did. Kazuha and Radius start dating and there's this kiss CG where it looks like he's sucking her face, but it's still quite pretty.
In most otome kiss CGs the LI looks normal and really into it, but the MC always has her eyes wide open and she looks really weird and like she was pasted on top of some other woman who was actually looking natural. Radius and Kazuha's kiss looks exactly like that, but since most kiss scenes seem to look like that in every game it doesn't really matter.
I feel like the solution to the Period Cube was a bit too easy. All Kazuha had to do was one simple button press (it might not've been a button press, I can remember) and whoosh! everything's OK again! The plot in this isn't exactly that deep and complex, but I don't really play otome for the plot, I play it for the romance.
I did enjoy this route, but I really wish that there was more of it. I really liked Radius as an LI. He's not going on my top husbando list, but he's still a decent boy. It would've been cool if the route could explore more of the idol side of him, but since the game's about MMORPG stuff, I suppose they can't really do much of that. If there was a fan-disc they could though, but I don't think this game will get one since it's been out for a few years now and nothing's happened yet. There's always the drama CDs to listen to, but they're going to be all set in Arcadia too.
I might try and get some bad endings later on as well, because I heard that this game has a flowchart or something like that, so it'll be easy to know where the story branches off. There's also the legendary "skip to next choice" feature that all otome games should have. If they did, it would've saved me so much time, especially with those games with massive common routes like Hakuoki and Code: Realize.
There is an after story to Radius' route, but it's like the ones in Amnesia and Collar X Malice, it's just simple text, it takes about a minute to read and it's just a tiny bit of fluff.
I should've really attached some screenshots, but all the ones I took were rubbish so I deleted them. Maybe next time...
That's all I have to say about this for now. I don't really know what I'd rate it out of ten, so I'll just say that I really enjoyed it. Sometimes it was hard to put it down so I'd play it for an hour and a half without stopping. The voice acting was excellent, as usual for Otomate games.
I suppose I'll see you all later then. Have a nice day....
