Another Ikemen Vampire Post - With a Very Original Title

I'm back again, with another sort of review/discussion/opinion piece on Ikemen Vampire! If you were wondering why it had been so long, blame the silly old avatar checks. I can't be asked to turn my iPod on every few hours to do the battles again, so it takes me a long time to complete them. I had sort of pushed Napoleon and his route to the back of my mind, because I was replaying a lot of my other otome games instead.

I've only managed to read a chapter and two fifths since I last wrote, but who cares! I couldn't even tell you what chapter it was, but it's the one with the third CG in it.

OK, let's get to the plot, shall we? Beware of spoilers down below!

So, at the end of the last post, I had gotten to the bit where MC just gets kidnapped by this bad guy, so Napoleon comes and saves her, but he also gets shot at the same time.

Napoleon's just sitting there bleeding, and MC racks her brains to find a solution to his suffering. She remembers that vampires who are injured need blood to help them heal, so she offers to let him use her as a blood bank. Napoleon refuses, because if he drinks some, he'll become a vampire, and he doesn't want that. He wants to be human so that he can live with MC and do normal human activities, and not watch her age while he stays young forever. You know what the simple solution to that is? Turn MC into a vampire too! Sure, it might be a bit painful, but at least you can both live together forever instead of until one of you dies of old age.

Napoleon then confesses his love, and MC also does, but then she's like "I would rather have you as a vampire than dead!" so she gives him her neck and he sucks. He then says "Tell me... can you do the unspeakable?" which is the quote that you can find on his character page. Even the characters that don't even have routes written yet have these, so I wonder if the staff are forced to shoehorn those quotes into each new route just to make it match the information pages.

Anyway, here's the CG you get here:

Sorry, this CG makes me laugh a bit, along with the dialogue that goes below it. I can never take these scenes seriously!

So, how did MC like her blood being sucked out of her? ...She enjoyed it. Of course she did. The writers aren't going to make it painful, they're going to romanticise it a bit. I feel like if MC had complained about the pain, Napoleon would've been annoyed with himself because he hurt his lover or something.

MC describes the suckening as being pleasurable or something, meaning that she actually enjoys it. She's not going to turn into a vampire, though. Do you know why? Because I read spoilers online! Don't worry, those are the only ones I read. Really, I think that they should've made MC a vampire, because their romance is going to fare exactly how Napoleon feared it would, MC's gonna grow old while her boyfriend forever stays a bishounen.

After being sucked, MC and Napoleon kiss, and they keep kissing, even though they should really focus on escaping and going back to the mansion. They keep on snogging, but I don't think they have sex or anything. Then MC passes out and Napoleon carries her back to the mansion.

MC wakes up in her bed, where she sees Vincent and Sebastian watching over her. Vincent feels really bad about what happened, so he's been watching our heroine while she slept for two days. That's quite a bit of dedication. Then he himself passes out and Napoleon comes to reunite with his love. Then my chapter tickets ran out.

People (meaning, random people online) say that the romance is really quick in this route, but I dunno. I haven't read the other routes yet so maybe it's quick compared to them, but Napoleon's kiss scene happened in like chapter fifteen or something? That's quite far into the story, isn't it? I can't remember how many chapters there are now. I suppose it is sort of quick since they were literally like good friends from the start.

I installed the Japanese version of the app to see if I could A. Get more gacha cards and B. Play some of the untranslated routes, but I haven't been bothered to do anything with it yet. Playing routes in Japanese without full voice acting is a bit of a slog for me, to be honest.

I also found out that there are IkeVamp drama CDs, but they've only released around three characters so far. I wonder if they use the dummy head mic? Probably not, because I don't think it's as focused on the blood sucking and kissing like a certain other vampire series is... Hopefully they'll release CDs for the rest of the cast too.

Even though I'm having fun with this route, it still has a certain cheesiness to it. Maybe I just have that feeling with all Cybird games, because I felt it when playing Kenshin's route in IkeSen. Or maybe Napoleon's just not the right love interest for me? I'm glad Mozart doesn't appear in his route that much, because otherwise I would be jealous and want to switch over to date him instead.

I have no idea how many more chapters there are, but I feel like I've still got another few avatar/intimacy checks left before it's over. If this was a normal game where I didn't have to wait for more chapter tickets, I wonder how long it would take me to complete it?

So that concludes today's Ikemen Vampire post. Just as I wrote this, the Internet on my computer disconnected again. I feel like there's something wrong with my laptop's WiFi card or whatever those things inside are called. It always just randomly disconnects even though literally every other device I own still stays connected. Maybe someone hacked my computer and is just playing with me? I doubt that would be the case.

I should probably end this post now. Goodbye!
