Ikemen Revolution Review/Recap No. 3

It's that time again, time for another Ikemen Revolution post. Not too much happened since I last wrote, but I wanted to make one more post before the weekend started. If you're wondering why I haven't written about Ikemen Vampire lately, it's because it's taking me forever to get enough gold to clear the avatar challenge! I can't even remember what's happening in the route because it's been so long.

This post doesn't really have as many screenshots as my last ones, because a lot of the time I'm too busy enjoying the game so I forget to take them.

Let's just get to the plot, shall we?

We're still in the middle of Alice and Jonah's disastrous date, if you remember from last time. Jonah makes our heroine watch him do all of the military training stuff that the Red Army's doing. It's not really something that you'd bring your date to, but I suppose it would still be quite interesting to watch.

Then I think they hear something going on in the storeroom, so Jonah drags poor Alice along to investigate. They end up finding two spriteless men punishing some other person because his training wasn't up to scratch. Jonah severely punishes them and I think they even get dismissed from the Red Army. It sort of reminded me of watching a teacher in primary school tell someone off by acting so terrifying, that even those who aren't in trouble get scared.

Eventually, it's time for Alice to go home, so Jonah accompanies her on the way back in the carriage. They ride over a speed bump or something, causing our heroine to fall right onto Jonah's lap. He thinks that she's attempting to seduce him, but why would she be doing that when it's quite obvious that she hates his guts? Alice quickly denies wanting to woo him at all, but then the carriage goes over a few more bumps.

Jonah offers to hold Alice so that she doesn't fall down anymore. He claims that he's not trying to be nice, but nobody would offer something like that otherwise!

This time, the player can choose whether Alice grabs onto him or not. I chose to just hold on, because I wanted the heroine to get closer to him, making it slightly more romantic. These choices hardly change the story though, they only change the ending. I'm sure that if I had chosen something else, Alice still would've ended up holding onto Jonah anyway.

Jonah then steers the conversation to discussing their next date. Alice doesn't really want to go on another one, but she doesn't really have a choice. She tells him that today's date was rather rubbish, but Jonah tells her that they're going to have to keep doing them until she falls head over heels for him. It's not really as bad as our heroine makes it sound. At least she gets to go out and have literally everything paid for. (That makes me sound really bad, doesn't it?)

Jonah's then nice enough to let Alice choose where they go for their next date. If she gets to pick where they go, there'll be a higher chance of her enjoying herself. But then Alice could just choose to spend a few minutes doing nothing so that the date is over with quickly.

Later on, Alice returns back to the Black Army's headquarters, and gets a bit of combat training from everybody. I'm not really going to describe this because it doesn't really matter. The only important thing they said there was that Alice's relationship with Jonah could start a war or something.

Alice is in quite a difficult position here. If she rejects Jonah, then the Red Army will kidnap her and things will suck for the Black Army, but if she falls in love with him then the Black Army will probably be very annoyed. I feel like Alice will just try to get the two armies to make peace with each other but fail miserably.

This post is really short, isn't it? There wasn't really much to write about today.

Ikemen Revolution seems to be really generous with giving out their premium currency, so I feel like I'll be able to get another premium story soon. They do get more expensive the later in the route they are though, so I might not be able to afford too many. Jonah's one of those characters I'd rather have a premium story for. He's also a character I would buy merchandise of too, I just like him that much.

I heard that there's not as much sexual stuff in this game as there is in the other Cybird games. Oh well, I didn't really like those scenes too much anyway. But the premium stories are still probably quite decent. A lot of the time they just have extra kissing and more descriptive writing but no sex.

This concludes my post for today. I think I might be able to actually buy a Voltage route soon, because they've been giving me free coins. I'd rather play those after I've finished a Cybird route though. I don't like working on too many games at once!

Oh yeah, before I go, I'd just like to say that I've been seeing a lot of videos of the Nintendo Switch Lite in action recently. It looks so nice, especially the one in turquoise, which just so happens to be one of my favourite colours. Next year I might try buying one, but I want to play my Vita a bit more first. The last time I bought a Nintendo console was almost nine years ago now. I don't really buy new consoles that often, most of the time I just get given old ones from people. For a long time I only had a Wii and DSi XL, until a couple of years ago when someone gave me their old Xbox 360. Then I ended up buying an Xbox One and my Vita. I know I've never been that up to date with gaming, but you don't have to be. Most of the new games with fancy graphics I find super boring. I just wish there were more girly games, like fashion ones and stuff. Not every girl wants to play first person shooters. At least the DS had games like Style Boutique and Nintendogs, but I find that the Xbox has no games like that. I'm just glad that the Vita exists with all its otome games.

I'm sorry I went off topic a bit there. I should probably get going now. See you all later! :)
