Ikemen Vampire Recap/Review No. 7: MC Does Something a Bit Stupid

I've reached another avatar challenge, so I thought that it would be the perfect time to write another post about Ikemen Vampire and Napoleon's route.

Finally, I've found a decent title for this series of posts. It's better than just "Another IkeVamp Post" or "I Don't Know What To Call This Post" one billion times, isn't it?

Let's get straight to recapping and discussing the plot, shall we?

Not really much happened since I last wrote. Well, I say that, then I proceed to write a very long recap about two whole chapters of stuff.

We find out who was behind the kidnapping of MC that you may remember from the last post. It's the Duke of Wellington, the man who managed to defeat Napoleon in the Battle of Waterloo. Nobody really knows how he knows that his past rival is still alive, but because we saw him with Shakespeare in the past, it's obvious that he's the man who told the Duke about all this vampire stuff. For players who were unaware of that, Sebastian gives you a bit of info on the subject, making this game actually sort of educational.

Napoleon seems to have a lot of respect for him still, even though he literally just kidnapped his girlfriend. A lot of otome love interests I know would've been super angry and would want to kill the man. He takes MC on a mini-date to some place in the mansion with flowers and stuff, until Sebastian interrupts them and tells them to visit Saint-Germain because something important happened or whatever.

You think that something absolutely tragically terrible like a murder happened, but no, the hourglass thing that counts down the days until MC can return to the future has almost finished. I had forgotten that MC had only been in the past for a month.

MC has a private chat with Saint-Germain and decides that she's going to stay in the past, for a man she has only known for a MONTH. Wait a minute.... MC, shouldn't you rethink that decision? She's ditching her entire life in the future, her parents, her blog, technology, her home, her money, all for some French bloke she literally just met. I know it's true love and all that, but come on. You shouldn't give up stuff for someone you've only known for five minutes. Luckily, if she happens to fall out of love with Napoleon, she can always just go back to the future, but then she'll never be able to return to the past again.

Everybody seems to be 100% OK with MC's decision. Like they challenge it a bit, but they're not like "MC THAT'S A REALLY, REALLY, BAD IDEA!". Even Sebastian, who told her at the beginning not to fall in love, is alright with this entire thing. Napoleon doesn't even care, he's just like "OK cool". Why can't he go to the future with her instead? I know he's a vampire and all that, but who cares? The people in the future think vampires are cool!

Also, MC isn't even a vampire, so she's just gonna grow old while everybody else stays well-preserved!

You know what I think MC should do? She should get someone to turn her into a vampire, then she can live with Napoleon forever, and then she just has to wait until it's 2019 or whatever year she was in before she left, then just go and begin to live her normal life again. That way she gets to keep her job and all that, but also, she'll have a lot of experience with the past, so she can write history books and stuff! But then... there would be two versions of MC on the Earth at one time for a few years. Is that even allowed to happen? I don't think the game will ever explain how time travel works in this universe.

Going back to the plot, not long after MC's made her very stupid decision, something gets left on the mansion's doorstep. It's a knife, with the Duke of Wellington's name on it, and twelve apples, because it signifies something to do with the bible and everybody in the mansion being unpure or something. This basically confirms that the Duke knows what's going on and about all this vampire nonsense.

MC's super worried, and like literally every single otome MC ever, she begins to feel guilty. But then Napoleon drags her up to the attic to comfort her. The avatar challenge then popped up, so we can only speculate on what happens next. I smell some sexy times coming up.

You know, I haven't seen Mozart at all in this route. OK, I lie, maybe I've seen him once. I don't know why I'm mentioning that now, maybe it's because I really want to play his route.

I do have plans for what I want to do after I'm done with Napoleon. I'm going to re-install Ikemen Revolution, a game I never even finished the prologue of. Why are you playing it again, you ask? Because I want this guy:

Sorry, Mozart, you're going to have to wait.

I could do the easy thing and *gasp!* play two games at the same time, but I don't like doing that. Playing a different game spices things up a bit, and this boy looks pretty and I think he's a tsundere, so that guarantees that I'm going to like him. Writing about mobile games is fun anyways, I'm going to do this next route in the same format I'm using for Napoleon's right now.

The reason why I ditched IkeRev was simply because I forgot about it, plus I think I was working on Period Cube at the time anyway. But once I dedicate myself to it, I'll manage to actually get somewhere. I really wish that I had actually finished the prologue so that I could just skip it and not read it again to find where I had left off. I also had a dream about one of the characters last night, even though I have no idea of his personality or anything.

I wouldn't really be writing about mobile otome if I had some Vita games to play. It just stops there from being an off-season, or just very long breaks while I wait to buy another game. These free-to-play games are quite fun though, even though they can get really cheesy. Some are rubbish though, but luckily Cybird seem to put out a lot of decent stuff.

Yeah, so everybody, I hope you're looking forward to when I start tackling IkeRev! It doesn't matter if you're not though. I know I said that I would start making doll posts, but I've sort've forgotten about them since my first (and last) one I did a week or so ago. Oh well!

This concludes my seventh Ikemen Vampire post. Don't worry, we're almost at the end!

See you all later!!

:D
