I'VE FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO USE "READ MORE" BUTTONS ON BLOGGER! Now nobody can be spoiled by accident scrolling down the homepage!! I've known how to do them on Wordpress for a long time but I never bothered to figure out how to do it on Blogger until today.
That "Lupin's Gang" short story, it might actually be one of my favourite parts of the fan-disc. I didn't expect the story to run on for so long, but I didn't really mind since I was rather enjoying it. Every single CG looked simply stunning, and the new outfits that the main cast got were all really pretty! They even gave Sisi a new look too, which made him look cuter than he already is.
Those dog sunglasses just look so adorable on him!
I'm not gonna bother to summarise the plot since it's really long and there are so many little details, I'm just gonna spill out some random thoughts I had on it, in no particular order.
The ending was so unexpected, because I thought that they were done defeating the villain and everything, but no, the bad guy came back in a massive tank! It just came out of nowhere, making the story even more crazier than it already was.
After that Saint-Germain popped up with a lot of stolen goods, which was also really unexpected. But it was also quite funny. For some reason the Queen just didn't care and just let it slip and he didn't end up going to jail or anything.
The new backgrounds for the fancy cruise ship were so pretty! I'm glad that they went somewhere else again instead of staying in Steel London.
Also, I now have a new appreciation for the soundtrack. I liked it before but I never really paid much attention to it. I am absolutely in love with that song, I dunno what it's called but it was in the first game, the jazzy song that plays usually when Lupin does something cool. It reminds me of 707's theme song, except it's way better. Sometimes I just sat there and danced to it because it sounds so awesome. I can't find it on YouTube here to link because all that comes up is a load of AMVs. But if you've played the game, you'll probably know the song.
Shirley's a pretty cute character. She reminded me of Delly quite a bit, what with the ginger hair and the desire for revenge. I dunno why Cardia keeps saying that she's the same age as her. In reality I think that Cardia's actually only a couple of years old, but she's designed to look way older than Shirley. Oh well, it doesn't really matter, does it? I would say that Cardia looks around seventeen years old, so that's close enough to thirteen. It's funny that Shirley thought that Lupin and the gang were Cardia's brothers, even though they all look different and some are from different countries. I suppose they do kind of act like siblings.
I laughed when Shirley dropped that line. It's almost like she knows that we're in an otome game...
If you're wondering why Cardia's head isn't in the corner of the screenshot like it normally is in the game, it's because I always turn that feature off. Every time I first boot up an otome game, I always fiddle around in the settings to turn stuff like that off, and to make the text speed fast. The text always comes on the screen so slowly that it's annoying because I read really fast, so I always change it to appear instantly.
It would've been cool if you could make choices in this story, because this plot has so much potential for some bad endings. They'd probably all involve death, but it would still be cool if they were there. Maybe there could be some bad ending exclusive CGs, because the original game had none of that, I don't think.
I have that jazzy background music song stuck in my head!! I've got to find out what it's called!!
In conclusion, this short story was good. I know I didn't delve much into the plot but I couldn't be bothered, to be honest.
Now I've got a hard decision to make, which route should I pick first, Finis' or Herlock's? I think these routes actually allow you to make choices, so that should be good. I wonder how many different endings there are?
I suppose I'll have to end this post right here then because I dunno what else to write. I'll see you all later!
