(Spoilers for Sweet Fuse down below!!!)
I finally finished Sweet Fuse. But I'm still missing loads of CGs for some reason... Let's just hope they're just depressing bad ending CGs only.
Urabe did not descend into extreme yandereness, he was quite tame compared to most of them. It just took Saki three anger outbursts to get him to snap out of his possessiveness. They never uncovered who Hogstein was in this route, but I didn't really expect them to anymore.
The last puzzle they did, the one where they pulled the sword out of the stone, they had so much difficulty with it, whereas in Shidou's route it was so much easier for them. I kept saying out loud: "Come on, this is so easy! You did it fine it the last route!" but I think the puzzle was actually slightly different here.
Shidou got super annoyed with Urabe for kissing Saki, saying that she was too young, but in his route (and literally everybody else's) he didn't seem to care, even though he's also an adult too! That's a bit hypocritical, I think!
This love interest also had to go to prison, and Saki had to wait for two years until he was released. In the final CG she looked really pretty, but Urabe looked kind of... weird. I've noticed that a lot with the CGs, the characters sometimes look really strange in them. I think it's just the different art style that's making them look funny.
I don't really want to go back and get all of the CGs yet (I never normally do, to be honest), because my backlog is massive right now. I will do at a later date.
When I finished Sweet Fuse, I was in public and bored and I had no Vita cartridges on me. I did have a copy of the PS1 version of Tomb Raider on my memory card, (I got it really cheap in a sale) but for some reason I find the first level super hard. I'm not very good at those kinds of games. I dunno if I'll ever be able to play it properly, which is a shame because it looks fun and loads of other people have managed to play it fine!
Instead I decided to go onto Amnesia: Memories and try and get a missing CG or bad ending. As soon as I had gotten Ukyo's bad ending, I went straight onto Sweet Fuse, not realising that there were some things that I had missed out! There were two games that I knew of when I first booted it up, but I didn't play because I thought they were going to be inside the main story somewhere. I played them for a bit and I lost, but I might go back later to them because you can get trophies if you do well. The rock paper scissors games was a bit hard, but the air hockey one was fun, except it made me hold my Vita vertically like a smartphone, which was a bit strange.
Then there were five extra short stories for each character that I had no idea about!! They didn't have any sprites or something, it was just text behind a background. I dunno if they had voice acting because I was in public with my sound off. Sometimes I accidentally pressed the X button too early, missing some text, but it would let me go back and read the log, which was annoying. The short stories were nice, some happening before the game starts and some after. Shin's was the best, but I'm probably just biased because he's my favourite. All of them were quite nice, but Toma's was just alright, I suppose. I can't believe I'd forgotten about them. You know, if I wasn't sitting there bored today, I would've never have known they'd even existed. Thank you, boredom!
Now I'm onto C:R: Future Blessings. I haven't started it yet though. First I might do Van Helsing's route or maybe Saint-Germain's. I was also thinking about doing Finis first too, because for some reason now I really like him as a character, even though he annoyed me in Lupin's route. I'm gonna take photos of the limited edition and put them on this blog for all to see! I am quite happy that I've got it. I really just hope that Finis' route is not romantic. Please, please, please, don't make it romantic. I would be fine with it if the MC wasn't Cardia though. I actually think that Finis looks a bit like a girl, but I don't really mind because I like his personality.
Going back to talking about Sweet Fuse, I think I'm going to give it a final rating. I should do that with all the games I play!
Art: 6.8
Characters: 9
Story: 9
Romance: 8.5
There are some weird decimal numbers here, but that was because I was unsure about some of them. The art could be really nice at times, but some of the CGs were a bit too weird looking. The romance was pretty good, but I docked a few points because I wasn't really sure about the love between Shirabe and Saki. But I loved the characters and the story quite a bit. It's just an all around good game that blew my expectations through the roof.
I dunno what I'm gonna do when I run out of new English otome games to play. I suppose I'll just have to play Japanese ones then! There are some localised games I'm not sure about, like 7'Scarlet and Bad Apple Wars. I don't really like 7'Scarlet's art that much, and while I almost bought BAW (Got PoTBB instead, which was the best choice I could've made really), I heard that the MC is a bit of a drip and that you can't even make any choices in the game at all! What's an otome game without dialogue choices? Luckily there's a whole world of otome out there in Japan, so I'll probably never run out of good stuff to play. I'm only really limited by my language skills.
Today was a good day, not just because I completed a game though. Whilst I am absolutely obsessed with otome, I'm not addicted to it. I do think about other things, don't worry. Being obsessed with certain things is normal for me, but luckily it never completely takes me over. I hope you all had a good day too! Goodbye!
